Spring Rubbers
Spring Rubbers are used to add a progressive increase in spring rate.
For example on a 450 lb/in Eibach 2.5” coil spring we saw the following when using an x-hard spring rubber:
At 1” of travel the spring force tested at 456 lbs with and without the spring rubber or no increase in spring rate
At 2” of travel the spring force was at 917 lbs without and 953 lbs with the spring rubber or about a 10% increase in spring rate
At 3” of travel the spring force was at 1374 lbs without and 1520 lbs with the spring rubber or about a 20% increase in spring rate.
