Why the 529 Rear Drag System (529RDS)?
On hard hitting drag/roll racing cars, the combination of both spring rate and dampening are essential to control that hit and optimize traction. The 529RDS uses a high pressure, monotube shock with proprietary internal valving, paired with a matched rate spring system. This system also delivers a range of adjustment far greater than any readily available system on the market, again – tailored specifically to your vehicle. Not only does this allow you to optimize traction for the highest performance possible while racing – it also gives us the ability so soften things up for a more compliant and comfortable drive on the street. See our FAQ on why “the number of clicks/settings” on a shock or strut does not tell you how much rebound control is available.
When do I need to upgrade my rear shocks/springs?
On an improperly set up suspension - the front end rises rapidly and begins to unload the front tires while the rear squats excessively. This causes significant alignment changes, tire spin, or worse - a porpoising effect where the front and/or rear bounce their way down the track. The latter can result in a “slip then grip” situation or wheel hop (sometimes both) often causing broken parts. If this is the way your car behaves, it’s time to look at upgrading to 529RDS.
Another important consideration is the wheel/tire package you are using. For example, a bias ply drag slick on a 15” wheel will not respond the same as a car running an 18” Hoosier DR2 drag radial. If you go back and forth between setups (track set & street set for example)… or if you intend on changing things in the future, you need the proper adjustment range to take advantage of this and get optimum performance possible with the current set installed on your car.
What are my options?
Option 0 - Fix the foundation
Prior to upgrading your rear shocks, at a minimum, the rear trailing arm and inner lower control arm bushings should be upgraded. As the bushings get compressed and spring back, they cause significant camber and toe changes in the rear. This contributes to wheel hop and loss of traction. To help address ths we recommend JXB Performance spherical bearings that are available HERE.
Option 1 - Stiffer rear springs
We offer a spring upgrade which is available HERE. While this works well to a point - there are limits. If you go too high in spring rate, the shock will not be able to stop the rear of the car from bouncing back up. We have seen this on cars with stock shocks, as well as with several aftermarket shocks. The reason for this is that many of the current offerings do not have enough dampening ability (see the link above). The net is that the compression control is too weak to control the hit, and/or or the rebound control is insufficient - thus not slowing the suspension as it returns to its normal ride height.
Option 2 - The 529RDS
The 529 drag shocks, coupled with a properly matched and tunable spring system, is the next step up from a simple spring upgrade. We recognize that a full suspension is not an option for all, so we are offering the 529RDS as the first step to improving traction and going faster. This is our entry level solution, however, for many “straight line racers” - this will be enough to get the job done.
Option 3- A full drag specific suspension
The best option is managing the front rise with our drag specific struts combined with the 529RDS. The competition suspension systems are available HERE.

Ultimate Performance Nissan GTR coilover shocks utilize JRi Shocks’ double adjustable damper technology. This coilover suspension package enhances the performance of the Nissan GTR platform. Not only can you get the stance you have always wanted, but we have complemented that with superior handling. Ultimate Performance Nissan GTR coilover shocks allow you to drive faster through the corners on a winding road or the track, and gives you quicker response and feedback on an autocross. This package will give you what you need and more. UP custom valves JRi Shocks, specifically tuning them to compliment the horsepower for your GTR. JRi Shocks are race proven dampers, utilizing the same racing technology for your performance car. These nitrogen charged, mono tube, double adjustable shocks provide superior handling and performance to your ride.
The front and rear shocks are direct bolt in pieces utilizing Hyperco springs. The Hyperco springs eliminate spring sagging and the need to re-adjust ride height and corner weights. The use of thrust washers will maximize grip by taking the friction out of the springs as they compress. The JRi Shocks provide the largest range of adjustment on the market. This adjustment range is ideal for tuning your shocks to the track and any track condition.
On the front, we designed our own upper and lower mounts. The upper mounting plate uses a FK teflon lined bearing to reduce friction and eliminate bind throughout suspension travel. For easy shock adjustments, both adjusters are located at the top of the shocks inside the engine compartment. The lower mount has been CNC machined from 7075 billet aluminum for strength.
The rear shocks have been inverted to upper eyelets minimizing friction as a true coilover, no longer running the stock divorced shock and spring package. This keeps the shock and the spring running with the same motion ratio. The stock upper mount has been replaced with an aluminum mounting plate and clevis. The clevis allows us to use a high misalignment Teflon lined bearing for maximum articulation while reducing friction and eliminating bind throughout suspension travel.

The factory bushings are soft and flexible, causing unwanted toe-in and camber loss during braking and turning. Caster-Correcting Option
Choose the caster-correcting option to receive our offset rear bushings, which increase caster by approximately 1°. The increase in caster increases much-needed front end grip by increasing negative camber on the outside wheel and decreasing negative camber on the inside wheel during cornering (basically leaning the wheels into the turn). Please note that the the caster correction does push the wheel slightly forward in the wheel well which may cause tire clearance issues on aggressively stanced or lowered cars.

Adjust camber in the rear of many popular VW and Audi models ±3 degrees with this fully adjustable rear camber arm from SPC. The forged steel arm and double threaded adjuster offer the strength and on-car adjustment needed for the track or simply getting tires back to factory specifications. SPC's arm uses bonded bubber bushings to maintain factory noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) values. Use the included bracket to properly secure the factory ABS wire.
The arm is sold each and can be used for either the right or left hand side. Be sure to order two kits if you need adjustment on both sides.
Torque Solution Spherical Bearing Rear Toe Link Kit
Applications: Volkswagen Golf/GTI/Golf R MK7, Audi A3/S3 8V, TT/TTS MK3 (MQB)
Torque Solution Rear Toe Links will help restore the proper suspension geometry for lowered vehicles. The factory control arms do not have the adjustment range needed to compensate when lowering vehicle. This results in poor tire wear and an insufficient contact patch. This kit will provide the additional adjustment needed. These work great for street and track use and do not transmit harsh vibration thru the vehicle.

For the MK8 GTI the Carbotech Race pads do not include spring clips. The purpose of the clips is to push the pad toward the outer edge of the rotor. We do not recommended when runing aftermarket 2 piece rotors without modifying the backing plate, this ensures that the pad will clear the rotor hat. The 1521 compound includes clips and does not ahve this issue. For the GTI applications we suggest running Pagid RSL29 Front pads.
The Girodisc system is a direct replacement for the OE disc. No modifications are necessary. The disc will bolt directly to the car and work with OE calipers perfectly. By upgrading your brakes with lightweight high performance replacements as opposed to a big brake kit, your factory bias is maintained as well as your ABS efficiency. The Girodisc front rotors are approx 24.0lbs vs. 27.4lbs for the stock units and the rear rotors are approx 12.9lbs vs 15 lbs for the stock units. This reduction in rotational and unsprung weight allows for quicker acceleration and suspension response.
The central hat section of our rotor is made from strictly U.S. sourced 6061-T6 aircraft specification aluminum. The disc is made from our own proprietary cast iron, poured in the USA and machined from start to finish in house at Girodisc. The rotor utilizes a curved vane design, developed in racing to act as a centrifugal pump to force cooling air through the disc.
The rotor and hat have a floating mount system, which utilizes 10 high strength alloy steel drive pins, manufactured by Girodisc in the USA to our own specifications and cadmium plated for a long lasting corrosion resistance. These pins take the load from braking actions while maintaining the axial and radial float between the hat and disc. The pins are secured by class 12.9 cap screws with hardened washers. In order to keep the rotors from making noise when cold, the pins are mounted with anti-noise spring washers on the rotor side which allow the rotor to grow with heat expansion but eliminate the rattle and noise associated with floating rotors. This float also allows the rotor to self center between the pads.
Once the Girodisc system is in place, simply replace the cast iron rotor when needed.

"Does it work with a 3 point harness?"
The REV X has been shown to reduce neck loads under impacts when tested to the NHTSA FMVSS208 standards using a 3 point belt. We always recommend you race with at least a 5 point harness for safety, but we understand that in some circumstances a 3 point is all that is available, and the REV X will add an extra layer of protection.

B10 - Carbon front seat
With its contemporary design the B10 seat is stylish, lightweight, rigid and compact. Based on our popular B6 race shape, modified to be more convenient for daily driving.
The B6 has always been a great seat for those that liked a low head position with an enveloping and ultra-supportive shape, but often the race type belt holes were awkward when trying to feed a factory three-point seat belt through.
The B10’s cut away sides allow convenient use of the stock belts with the added benefit that getting in and out of the seat is also easier. However, we have been careful to make sure that the support of the driver is not compromised.
The front of the seat kicks up a little more than the B6, which not only aids drivers with longer legs but also helps if the seat were to be angled to a more upright position.
A more upright seat allows a comfortable arm length in saloon cars, where the steering column cannot be extended, or lengthened towards the driver. The headrest height has been raised over the B6 seat so that a driver with along torso does not run out of headrest support.
The B10 has been given a modern fresh look and although its highly technical laminate is rigid and tough, it weighs only 4.5 kg for the standard B10.
The B10 is also available in the larger B10XL size (call for availability and pricing), weighing approx. 5.4kg with an edges on and off option.
The seat comes complete with a Dinamica® suede covered headrest pad.
The optional suede covered cushion and back panels add 1 kg and are recommended when the car is intended for mainly road use.
The B10 and B10XL can also use a full six-point race harness and is Hans compatible for those with a serious track car.

RaceQuip FIA Certified Composite Racing Seats provide the support to hold you firmly in place for increased car control. This seat is certified to FIA 8855-1999 specifications with FIA hologram affixed. The design is suitable for professional racing with it's increased thigh and hip support along with extended shoulder and rib bolsters for extra containment. The shell is a one-piece lightweight, FRP hand-laid composite structure built for strength and durability. The design accommodates all Head and Neck restraints and there are five seat belt guides to handle 4, 5 or 6-point harness sets. The seat bottom and back cushions incorporate energy absorbing memory foam for comfort and safety. The seat material is a black mesh fabric for increased breathability with a more durable smooth covering in high-wear areas. The exposed areas of the shell are a shiny black gelcoat for a great look and easier cleaning. There are four built-in 8mm side mount threaded fasteners (brackets not included). Optional RaceQuip brackets allow the seat mounting to go from 0° Upright position to 30° Layback position. Seats weigh about 18lbs and are available in 15" Medium; 16" Large and 17" X-Large sizes.

The B5 is a versatile seat that is used in many different vehicles. It is designed with a regular saloon car angle and its shape is such that it is perfect for road/track vehicles that use either a standard 3-point seat belt or race harness.

The V4 chassis mounted splitter is a balance between track and show cars looking for something more durable than a bumper mounted lip, and provides actual downforce. The V4 blade is a durable street style lip that is fully chassis mounted. This can help protect your bumper. It has a 60mm stick-out.

Brackets & rods come in raw aluminum unless powder coating option is selected. Expect some visible imperfections in the material from the cutting and bending process on raw aluminum parts.
This will not fit with any front mount/twin intercooler.
If you are on air ride, do not air-out onto these brackets, they are not designed to support the weight of an entire vehicle.
Requires drilling four 11mm holes in the crash bar for install.
Trimming the factory splash guard under the bumper is required.
Trimming the auxiliary coolers shrouds, or removing them is required.
Brackets are made of 5052 Aluminum, these mount to 6 points of the chassis/crash bar to hold a splitter blade of your choice. They are height adjustable in 12mm increments.

We took no shortcuts on the mounting flanges, after all this is what is holding the roof to the car and keeping it sealed. This is especially important along the sides. What this means is that our roof uses the same rolled over lip as the factory panel. A flat or 90 degree edge would be significantly cheaper to manufacture but we wanted to make no compromises.

Unlock the Front-End Grip Your MQB Chassis Deserves with the RCCA Ball Joint
The MQB platform has earned its reputation as a standout performer on both street and track, consistently punching above its weight and surprising countless people with it's abilities. However, when it comes to front-end grip, enthusiasts quickly encounter two key performance limiting factors: traditional camber plates typically max out between -2.8° and -3.2° of camber and lowered cars suffer from poor roll center geometry. Extensive chassis and tire testing has shown that many modern performance tires deliver their best track performance with even more camber. Depending on the tire/chassis setup, optimal camber can be in the -3.6° to -3.8° range, with some setups benefiting from even more. In addition, many OEM style ball joints fail prematurely due to excessive heat generated by hard track use.
Precision Camber Gains Without Compromise for the ultimate in Adjustability, Durability and Serviceability
The all-new 529 Innovations RCCA (Roll Center and Camber Adjustable) Ball Joints unlock up to an additional 1.8° of negative camber and 1° of additional positive caster in many cases allowing for up to -5.0° of usable camber AND, up to 20mm of roll-center correction. This allows drivers to achieve optimal alignment and improved suspension kinematics. Details on the alignment verification test are documented below.
For the “stance crowd” we have been able to get over -5° of camber when paired with proper camber plates and our upcomming max camber adapters!
Beyond alignment performance, the 529Innovations ball joint is engineered to solve three common issues found on MQB VW and Audi vehicles , durability, “big brake kit” issues and dangerous, on-track alignment changes, resulting from traditional slotted designs slipping under high load conditions.
By replacing the plastic-lined socket with an oversized, commercially available, motorsport-grade spherical bearing, the 529Innovations ball joint significantly improves heat resistance, durability, and consistency in this critical suspension location.
Additional clearance—up to 5mm of additional rotor clearance compared to OEM type designs—helps eliminate interference with many common big brake rotor sizes ranging from 340mm to 380mm.
Large brake packages often create tight clearances at the factory ball joint, leading to excessive heat soak and premature wear. The OEM plastic-lined socket design is especially susceptible to damage under sustained high temperatures.
A two piece design with a positive locking, serrated interface ensures that the camber plate cannot slide, even under the highest of cornering loads.
